What I have learnt Yesterday at C-Lal Bus Stop , Okhla

After the office hours, I went to my bus stop at C-Lal chowk near Okhla Phase -II , Delhi to catch my bus to reach my home. Every bus was crowded so I have decided to sit at my bus stand. When I was going to sit at bus stop stool, my foot was crossed with a tree which was planted near the bus stop bench. One old sardaar was sitting in the bench and He was watering the plant. When i was asked him " why he was doing this?"
He replied," Look, This tree is planted under the shed and no drops of water is reaching to this plant. Due to lack of water , it can be dried soon. I am just watering it to keep it green." and when he poured all the water to the plant's root and he stood up and went to bring some more water from the water seller vendor and paid some money to him and instructed him to give the water to the plant after every alternative day and he will pay the price for it.
I really touched. when I enquired him then he told me that he is a government employee and plantation is his hobby and he has planted many trees in the park and other areas where ever he found some space. HE enjoyed to see them growing.
We are living in today because of some great known /unknown people who really make this world very beautiful.
Let us cherish and do something for humand kind.

What is perfect salemanship?

One week ago, One of my friend decided to purchase a 21" Color TV for his home. He is already having one samsung TV and want another for his drawing room. When we met in a satuday night he told me about his decision. He told that he was going to bought another samsung tv . After some time , we finished our dinner and we four friends who are highly educated and MBian have decided to go to Mohan Lal market to purchase the TV and all are decided to bring the Samsung TV.
When we entered into the showroom, one salesman showed us different kinds of TV of various manufacturers and the salesman was so smart that all are decided to purchase the Panasonic TV.
He convinced all of us so smartly that our decision went into the favor of Panasonic. He compared all the TV so smartly that all of us decided to GO for panasonic with a higher rate. When we brought the TV into his house and compare the TV with exisiting Samsung TV we felt samsung is better than Panasonic.
We all saluted to this salesman that if he can changed our pre-determined mind of all of us MBians then how smartly he can sell the things to other people? Whenver I visit to my friends home, I salute the salesman and tortured my friend that if you are a marketing man , and you can divert your decision after hearing such woderful words of a salesman than other people have no option to hear him.
This is true salesmanship.

Experience matters...............................A must read story

A giant ship engine failed. The ship's owners tried one expert after another, but none of them could figure out how to fix the engine. Then they brought in an old man who had been fixing ships since he was a young. He carried a large bag of tools with him, and when he arrived, he immediately went to work. He inspected the engine very carefully, top to bottom. Two of the ship's owners were there, watching this man, hoping he would know what to do. After looking things over, the old man reached into his bag and pulled out a small hammer. He gently tapped something. Instantly, the engine lurched into life. He carefully put his hammer away. The engine was fixed! A week later, the owners received a bill from the old man for ten thousand dollars."What?!" the owners exclaimed. "He hardly did anything!" So they wrote the old man a note saying, "Please send us an itemized bill." The man sent a bill that read:
Tapping with a hammer.............................. $2.00
Knowing where to tap ...............................$ 9, 998.00
Effort is important, but knowing where to make an effort in your life makes all the difference!! .
Cheers to life and learn from everything.

Six Sigma- Mathematical View

It is a statistical measurement technique. Six sigma is a result oriented project driven methodology. In 1980 , Motorola was the first company who implement the six-sigma in their semi-conductor division. Later on GE Electric follows it and their huge success open the door for six sigma implementation in other companies. Today, there are many companies who are adopting the six-sigma in their operation and projects. What is Sigma? In statistics, Sigma is used to calculate the deviation. Six sigma implies for 3.4 PPM opportunities. PPM is stands for Parts Per Million.More sigma means more precision in quality. It begins with 3-Sigma and ends with 6-sigma.Is 6-sigma applicable for only manufacturing sector? Answer is NO. Any type of industry can use and implement it.How anyone can measure their performance in terms of six-sigma? In this methodology , process performance is reported as a sigma level. For measuring the process capability and process performance in statistics, we use Cp, Cpk, Pp, Ppk.What are these Cp, Cpk, Pp, Ppk? Answer is- Cp- it is process capability , Cpk is for process capability index, Pp is for process performance and Ppk is for process performance index. What is the difference between Cp & Pp?The difference between Cp & Pp is that the 6-sigma used for the Cp calculation comes from the estimate of sigma based on average range and in Pp the estimations done by using all the data and classical formula for the standard deviation.Which one is better Cpk or Ppk?Both are important. Cpk can be used for short term, whereas, Ppk can be used for long term.Conclusion- More sigma indicates more precision. That’s why six sigma becomes a demanding object in this competitive era.Keep reading , I will be back with another topic………………………..

What happened when u give an Interview and After the selection - A must read story

One day while walking down the street a highly successful Human Resources Manager was tragically hit by a bus and she died. Her soul arrived up in heaven where she was met at the Pearly Gates by St. Peter himself. "Welcome to Heaven," said St. Peter. "Before you get settled in though, it seems we have a problem. You see, strangely enough, we've never once had a Human Resources Manager make it this far and we're not really sure what to do with you." "No problem, just let me in," said the woman. "Well, I'd like to, but I have higher orders. What we're going to do is let you have a day in Hell and a day in Heaven and then you can choose whichever one you want to spend an eternity in." "Actually, I think I've made up my mind, I prefer to stay in Heaven", said the woman "Sorry, we have rules..." And with that St. Peter put the executive in an elevator and it went down down down to hell.
The doors opened and she found herself stepping out onto the putting green of a beautiful golf course. In the distance was a country club and standing in front of her were all her friends - fellow Executives that she had worked with and they were well dressed in evening gowns and cheering for her. They ran up and kissed her on both cheeks and they talked about old times. They played an excellent round of golf and at night went to the country club where she enjoyed an excellent steak and lobster dinner. She met the Devil who was actually a really nice guy (kind of cute) and she had a great time telling jokes and dancing. She was having such a good time that before she knew it, it was time to leave.
Everybody shook her hand and waved goodbye as she got on the elevator. The elevator went up-up-up and opened back up at the Pearly Gates and found St. Peter waiting for her."Now it's time to spend a day in heaven," he said. So she spent the next 24 hours lounging around on clouds and playing the harp and singing. She had great time and before she knew it her 24 hours were up and St. Peter came and got her. "So, you've spent a day in hell and you've spent a day in heaven. Now you must choose your eternity,"

So St. Peter escorted her to the elevator and again she went down-down-down back to Hell. When the doors of the elevator opened she found herself standing in a desolate wasteland covered in garbage and filth. She saw her friends were dressed in rags and were picking up the garbage and putting it in sacks. The Devil came up to her and put his arm around her."I don't understand," stammered the woman, "yesterday I was here and there was a golf course and a country club and we ate lobster and we danced and had a great time. Now all there is a wasteland of garbage and all my friends look miserable."
The Devil looked at her smiled and told..."Yesterday we were recruiting you, Today you are an employee The woman paused for a second and then replied, "Well, I never thought I'd say this, I mean, Heaven has been really great and all, but I think I had a better time in Hell."
